Running

Cornhusker State Games and Run For Justin

I got a chance to run two races on July 9th, a 5k in the morning and a 10k at night. It was a bit of a challenge but really fun. I ran the ‘Run for Justin’ in Omaha, a really nice 5k course. I ran with Kari Meyer, who PR’d in the race. Very Cool!

Then later that evening I ran the 10k for the Cornhusker State Games, now called Footstock. Really cool idea, I’m sure more and more people will be there as the years go on. The 10k had a band, a beer garden, and huge inflatable things for children. It was really well ran, a very organized race. I ran a 40:40 and got 17th overall, results.

The best part about Footstock, was the chance to run against the St. Cecilia Cross Country team. They did a great job in the race and it was good to catch up. I think they’re going to have a great season next year, they look like they’re ready. The distict Assignments for Nebraska Cross Country are now out, assignments.
