Develop and implement SharePoint collaboration portals and .NET web applications. SharePoint development includes installation and administration of MOSS servers. Develop portal and content management application using a custom site definition, custom feature development, and custom web parts.

Designed and developed the systems for day-to-day operations of Protex Central, including the Inspection, Sales and Human Resource systems. The system is a Web Application that handles three regional offices across two States. Also the IT Manager, handling a wide array of tasks including:

  • Responsible for all computer and software systems. Handled the procurement, installation, maintenance, support, and licensing.

Developed web based software platform that provided customers a flexible and customizable interface to handle any business need. The platform includes solutions for Content Management, Advanced Calendaring, Project Management, Sales Management, and Human Resources. Nebraska Robotics Governance Board May 2010 – Present
Provide recommendations and guidelines to the greater robotics community in Nebraska. The board works to promote awareness and structure for Robotics teams and tournaments. The Board was formed with the belief that compelling and engaging technology education for our youth is critical to our future. We ensure that elementary, Middle School and High School students have the opportunity to grow intellectually, educationally, and socially.
Omaha Young Republicans May 2009 – Present
The Young Republicans of Omaha is a vibrant group which plays an integral role in providing the grass roots support in the Omaha area for federal, state, and local Republican candidates. The Young Republicans of Omaha also serve the very important role of providing a social outlet for Republicans under the age of 40 to network and make known their interest in politics.

I am the President of the Omaha Young Republicans.  I am also the National Committeeman for the Nebraska Young Republicans.

The Minden, Nebraska Chamber of Commerce works to improve the economic vitality and the quality of life for the community. I developed the website for the City of Minden and the Chamber of Commerce.
Hastings College Track & Cross Country 1997 – 2002
I was also a member of the Track and Cross Country team. I ran year round, competing in Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track. In Track I ran the 3k, 5k and Steeple Chase.
Beta Chi Fraternity at Hastings College 1998 – 2002
Beta Chi is a Christian Fraternity at Hastings College. A very positive group, planning many functions on campus. We worked together to help the community and volunteer our time.

Awards & Honors

Nebraska Addy Award
2008
The work done on the Culver Energy Efficiency World project by David Day won a Nebraska Addy. The website provides educational materials about energy efficiency and conservation for Teachers, Students and Parents. As a member on this project, it was a fun project that has a positive impact on others.
National Honor Society 1995 – 1997
At St. Cecilia, I was a member of the National Honor Society. NHS was established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. As a member, I received an award for volunteering 400 hours of community service.
Ruth Kelley Award 1997
At St. Cecilia, the Ruth Kelley Award is given to one senior athlete in a sport each year. The athlete must show more than exceptional skill in their competition, they must be a strong leader and upstanding athlete. I received the Ruth Kelley Award for Track & Cross Country my senior year.
State Track & Cross Country Qualifier 1995 – 1997
I participated in Cross Country and Track at St. Cecilia . While competing, I learned what it took to set a goal and train to achieve those goals through hard diligent work. I qualified to the State Cross Country Meet my Junior and Senior years. In the State Track Meet, I qualified for the Mile in my Sophomore, Junior and Senior years.
State Debate Qualifier 1996
At St. Cecilia I participated in Debate. While competing I was able to analyze a topic and develop a strong persuasive argument that defended each side. A great exercise in critical thinking, I believe it still helps me today. During my Junior year, I competed in the State Competition.

Volunteering

Teach Basic Computer Course at Willa Cather Library 2009 – Present
Teach computer basics at the Willa Cather Library Branch in Omaha, Ne. Classes cover fundamental computer skills such as: using the keyboard and mouse, how to navigate the Windows Operating System, using Word, using Web Browsers, how to use email and more.
St. Cecilia Assistant Track & Cross Country Coach 2003 – 2005
Coaching the St. Cecilia kids for 2 1/2 years is one of the best experiences I’ve had. I couldn’t even start to explain, each person brought great things to the table. Students, Athletes, Coaches and Parents. In that time the Boys Track Team placed second at State in 2005. We saw each athlete grow and achieve, gaining lessons they’ll use the rest of their lives. Whoopers & Hoopers Basketball Tournament 2003 – 2005
The Whoopers and Hoopers Tournament brings a huge economic boost to the Tri-City area. I helped them move the tournament registration online and make sure the tournament brackets were up-to-date. Many teams traveled long distances to play, so friends and family were happy to use the online brackets to keep track of their favorite teams. I also helped with setting up games, coordinating help, T-Shirt, ticket and souvenir sales.
Minden FBLA Project Fall 2003
The FBLA group at Minden High School won second in a state competition for developing a web site. I drove to Minden to assist them through the process of building the website. Working with students like Ryan Granger, I helped them through the difficult aspects of HTML, javascript, a special menus system and more. It was a fun and learning experience for everyone.
Deaf & Hard of Hearing Summer Camp July 2002
Every year there is a two week summer camp for children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. It was held in Cozad, Nebraska at Camp Comeca. I was a counselor for the 10-12 year old boys. I helped manage activities and handled a cabin of 15 boys. I had to interpret for them using Sign Language during all their activities.
